Privacy policy
Last updated:
This policy explains how Stormnology handles personal data when you use the Saad app and website. Saad is offered in Saudi Arabia to users aged 13 and over.
Account and learning information
When you register or update your profile, the app sends the information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, password, age or date of birth, gender, language preferences, interests and learning goals. We also process your saved words, vocabulary progress, quiz activity, content interactions and requests, and messages you send to support. The information involved depends on the features you use.
Why we use information
We use account information to provide access to your account and support it; learning information to save progress and personalize your learning experience; and technical information to understand usage, diagnose problems and improve the service. We process personal data on the applicable lawful basis under Saudi law, including consent where required, providing the service you request, and meeting legal obligations.
Analytics, crash reports and your choice
The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. These services process usage events, screen visits, app and device information, identifiers and crash diagnostics. When you are signed in, analytics and crash reports can be associated with your account identifier and profile properties. Usage analytics is enabled by default in the current app. You can turn off “Share usage analytics” in the app menu; this setting also disables Crashlytics collection. Turning it off does not itself delete previously collected data or the account information needed to run the service.
Translation, videos and other providers
Text you choose to translate is sent to Google’s translation service. Playing embedded YouTube videos connects to YouTube, which processes information under its own privacy policy. Hosting and infrastructure providers help deliver the app and website. Information needed for those services is processed by the relevant provider. If you follow an external link or contact us through a social platform, that service’s privacy practices also apply. Provider privacy information is linked below.
The website
The public website presents information about Saad and these legal documents. It does not include Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, advertising trackers or an account sign-in form. Visiting it still sends ordinary connection information, such as an IP address and requested page, to the hosting infrastructure. Following an app-store or social link takes you to another service.
Retention, deletion and security
Account and learning information is used to maintain your account and progress. To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, email the contact below from your registered email address where possible. We may need to verify that the request belongs to you. Account deletion is currently handled through support, not an in-app deletion button. Retention may differ for operational records, backups and provider-held data, and applicable legal obligations may require some records to be retained. Contact us for details about your data; this policy does not promise immediate erasure of every copy. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Do not send your password to support.
Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable Saudi law, you may request information about how your data is used, access to or a copy of your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, and destruction of data that is no longer needed. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact us using the details below to exercise these rights or raise a concern. You may also complain to the competent Saudi data-protection authority. Some requests may be limited by legal obligations or the rights of others.
Where information is processed
Saad is offered in Saudi Arabia. This does not mean that all hosting, diagnostics, translation or video data stays in Saudi Arabia: third-party services may process information in other countries. Any transfers of personal data are subject to applicable Saudi data-protection requirements. Contact us for information about the processing relevant to your account.
Users aged 13 and over
Saad is not intended for children under 13. Users who need a legal guardian’s permission under applicable law must obtain it, including permission for personal-data processing where required. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service or its data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Where applicable law requires notice or consent for a change, those requirements apply.
